Depends on where he goes. He should be alright in Istanbul, but I think that he might encounter some hostility in very rural area, not so much because of his colour, but because they might not like the thought of a gay man in their midst.
And before anyone gets all high and mighty about Islam and homosexuality, might I point out that Christianity has a very similar stance to Islam on homosexuality – it’s not approved by either institution.

I have been to Greece many times. As we all know it is an Orthodox country and yet never seen a black person there. However I guess it is not the matter of being black or gay or even the religion. It is a matter of accepting people as they are and us Turks are very well known for accepting people from all over the world for centuries.
Please turn the pages of some history books before asking this sallama questions cause I dont have time for lectures

we say "yazık etmiş" in Turkish.
Anyway, we dont ask people their religion and he is very safe unLess try to find a boyfriend here. Just have yout holiday, no problem.
