how do i get the icon to tell me my internet connection speed?

How do i get the icon to tell me what speed im connected to the internet. Ive got the icon iv got the icon to tell me the local connection speed but not the one to tell me the connection speed.

download net limiter pro
its a programme that will tell you all about the data transfer in your pc whether its the internet or how much bandwidth a certain program is using

    Uh… you probably can’t. It fluctuates like crazy anyway, why does it matter. The only way I can think of is if you have the modem connected directly to your computer, but even then I think thats just bandwidth between you and the modem, not you’re internet speed

    You can’t get directly by icon.
    You But you can test your speed.

    if your wireless you can hover of the icon in the task bar, if not there is a place in the control panel to were you will find your network connection and you can hover over that ..

    the site I use is http://www.speedtest.net and i normally ping to the nearest host to test my speed
