It depends on what conception (pardon the pun) of those beings you’re working with. Because they are fictional, there is no ‘real’ information to work with. You first have to decide what makes them vampires or werewolves in the first place (genetics, curse, magic, virus, etc.) and then decide how those factors would interact.

For example, in the ‘classic’ tradition a vampire is an accursed dead thing and cannot create life at all; this was a significant subplot in the movie, "Van Helsing."

The same principle applies to other mythical crossings; you first have to decide what other mythical beings exist in your world, and how they got that way.

It sounds like a good idea for a plot, but after Twilight, don’t you think that vampires and werewolves are a little overused and cliche?

It definitely sounds like a good idea, but I would suggest completely different creatures. For example, mermaids have been quite a hit in this section, how about including them? And maybe….a pixie? I don’t know….look up a list of mythical creatures or urban legends online, and like dukefenton said, there’s no "reality" when it comes to writing about mythical creatures, so you can be as extreme as you want!!

Good luck! Hope I helped. :-)

Since neither exist, I’d have to say no. Since you are writing fiction, it doesn’t matter.

Okay, vampire vs(or +) werewolf is a bit overused in writing. I can give you a lot of information about either subject (either one of which holds an amazing capacity for cross-breeding in itself with my information) but will only give you information on one, because I wish to be an author someday too. Just tell me which one you want and I’ll email you with my ideas about it. (My suggestion is werecreatures)
