Is it wrong to have a second ear piercing as a Christian teenager?

I have a really strict Christian mom and she believes its wrong having a second piercing.I know the bible and all I I believe in having moderation, so having studs wouldn’t be wrong. Can anyone support my view in a biblical manner thanx!

The Bible advises us to obey our Christian parents. I don’t believe the Bible specifically forbids having piercings or even tattoos for that matter, as long as they don’t come between us and God. I do think it would be a good thing though for you to respect the wishes of your mother. She has you best interests at heart.

    no its not wrong… how in the world would that be considered wrong?? geeesh…some parents astound me.

    just say you’ll be good & offer to pay for it

    or just go and get it done without her permission…thats what i would do. (when i was younger i went with my mom to get it done….she might feel comfortable choosing a nice, clean place…idk no offense but your mom sounds like she has some screws loose)

    Um it is a Sin if your elder says not to. Its a Sin to disobey your elders so, if Mom says no then the answers no:( sorry:/

    there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a 2nd piercing. although, the problem with getting another one or two is summed up in this question, "where and when do i stop and what’s my motive?"

    No I can’t. If that’s the worse thing you have to worry about, then you are really losing focus on your values. It’s not about moderation, it’s about vanity. The problem is not with outward appearance, but your heart. Work on the inside, then the outside will reflect what’s inside. If your outside is adorned, then it means that your inside is adorned with worldly desires. Don’t be corrupted by the world, and desires of the flesh. Focus on Jesus, not yourself. You have an opportunity as a teenager to be a leader to other youth by not caving in to peer pressure. So consider setting an example to others by the way you look.

    1Ti 2:9
    (9) In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

    Luk 11:39-40
    (39) And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
    (40) Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

    2Pe 1:4
    (4) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
