As a Christian what should i do to help others?
I am a vary strong believer in God and a vary happy Christian and i just wont to help other peaple but im not vary sure wear to start or what to do. I would like to volunteer and help others out. Do you have any ideas on what i could do?
Look around you, regardless of your faith. People are everywhere that need a helping hand, a caring person, or someone who wants to help them with a "hand-UP," not a hand out.
Other questions on here are about volunteering, so check those out, too. Visit your elderly or disabled neighbors,and plan on helping a few in the next year. That is a great thing to do.
I believe if you check on this, Christ went after the one, not the groups that supported him – one person who needed help. You can do that, too.

homeless shelters, food kitchens, salvation army…
but i bet god would just really like you to be a good person who helps others when ever a chance appears, who turns the other cheek, does not promote violence or bigotry, does not kill or support war….

If you are looking for a faith based group to volunteer with you should consult your priest. He/she is probably aware of individuals or groups that could use your help.

Pray and listen to what God has in store for you. He will tell you in many ways…through a t.v. or radio program…something on the internet…you just happen to hear about someone that needs help or someone may just come up to you, out of the blue, and need your help. You will know what it is you need to do and when the time is right.
In the mean time God may be hoaning your talents, so you can help that special person that He puts into your life. (or special people…whatever the case may be)
Watch for signs…keep your heart and mind open to any and all possibilities He may give you.
When you pray about it and you think you hear Him, but you aren't sure, then listen to your heart. If there is an inkling of a doubt, then it probably isn't right for that time in your life. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.
Keep in mind, once you pray about it, the devil will work his hardest against the good works you are trying to do. That's why I say, if there's a doubt about it, then let the Holy Spirit guide you and your heart. You have the authority granted by God to tell the devil to 'get out'
It's amazing when you pray about it, how God will work in yours and other people's lives. Just don't say no because you think it can't be done. He will make the pathway for you. Nothing is impossible, when it's put in God's hands.
If you have church support, you could pray with them.
I just read your question to my husband. He said to check out a christian mission program.
He read your question for a reason. That might be the answer.
When you have true peace in your heart about an answer, then the answer is right !
