Catholic Church came out with a report that 225 accusations are levied against our CHURCH every year, dating back to the 50s. Keep in mind, these are accusations, which means that not all are actually found guilty.

Data from this report is provided by 18 of the largest insurers who provide policies for Churches.

In fact, after due process, investigations and trial, it is found that less than 1% of all Catholic Priests are guilty of the alleged claim. This data point has been provided by John Jay College of Criminal Justice…

Now, compare this to the recent report surrounding Protestant Churches. By only 3 insurance companies, they combine for 260 cases a year. What happened to the other 15 insurance companies? Well… it would only indicate that there is more of this activity within the Protestant Churches.

Penn State Professor, Philip Jenkins provides an authoritative work called "Pedophiles and Priests". His research and data shows:

1) 0.2% – 1.7% of Catholic Priests are somehow implicated in sexual misconduct claims

2) 2.0% – 3.0% of Protestant Clergy are implicated in sexual misconduct claims.

Thus on the low end, Protestant Churches are 10x more likely to be involved in a sexual misconduct claim.

On the high end, Protestant Churches are 1.76x more likely

Now… look at the US Department of Health and Human Service… they indicate the in the us, about 7% of all child abuse cases, are of the sexual nature. With this said… it is much safer for kids to be in the Catholic Church than a Protestant Church, or not to have any religious affiliation at all…

Thanks anyhow, for the weak attempt at being an anti-Catholic… You should at least educate yourself on the facts first…
