What protestant denominations today do not trace back to the roman catholic church?
If you call "the whore of babylon" (the world empire of false religion)the roman catholic church does that mean that you don't have to include your denomination from being a part of that?How do you come to that conclusion?
The Catholic church, I believe, is the Great Whore mentioned in the Revelation, and the Protestant churches are her "harlot daughters".
Not trying to offend, but read your bible and compare the doctrines of your church with what Scripture actually says. No honest person can say that their church is clean.

I am a born again Christian who attends a Baptist church.
We are worlds apart from the false doctrine of the catholic church.
Only lies trace back to them
The truth never traces back to a lie.
Thank God for people like Martin Luther who had the guts enough to expose the catholic church for what it really is: Heresy

Protestant churches trace their lineage to Catholic Christianity, whether they admit do or not.

Every christian denomination or non-denomination that believes that the Bible is God's spoken Word and is 100% accurate, do not trace back from the Roman Catholic Church. Remember, the RC doesn't believe that the bible is 100% accurate!

The Assembly of God church was started as a result of several business men meeting every day over the noon hour to pray for a revival. As a result, God poured out His Spirit as He did on the day of Pentecost. This is only one of a number of non-denominational, spirit-filled churches that came about as the result of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a Biblical revival.

If you say "Protestant", then there is a reason for protesting. It is often overlooked and accepted though rhetorical. Paul, Jesus, Peter, etc: were not Roman Catholic. Some call themselves "reformed", as in reconstituting the existence of faith to the earliest church of believers, before the Roman Catholic Church ever existed.
And that is what I do.

None. Whether they like it or not, they all come from Catholicism. Lying about it doesn't change it.

All religions, other than the Jewish religion, which was created by God, is made by man and is man’s attempt to please their gods and control other people. All religions have rules, rituals and laws to follow. Every religion believes that they have the answers for redemption. The answer for redemption through religion, lies within man’s ability to perfectly follow it’s teachings which man can not do. Jesus is the only one who followed religion perfectly.
Jesus is God’s way to reach down to mankind with love, forgiveness, acceptance and grace. Jesus is not a religion. He is God and He is the way for man to have fellowship with God.
When we come to Jesus, we are full of the original sin nature and the sins that we have committed. He cleanses us when we accept Him as our Lord and our Savior and repent of those sins.
Our redemption and salvation results from Jesus’ willful and sacrificial death on the cross to take our place for our sin nature and our sins. He is the only atonement possible because He is without sin. Jesus does it for us because we are incapable of following any religion perfectly. He did follow the law perfectly.
Coming to Jesus as our Lord and our Savior, not religion, is what God requires for us to become forgiven, sanctified, and have the personal relationship with God that He intended from the start. Jesus is the only way to God.and His church consists of those who have given their allegience to Jesus Christ, not a religion or an institution. .

Have you seen the Movie " Martin Luther" Worth a looksie shows the problems Luther saw in the Catholic church…binding the flock to works and guilt and idolatry and started the Protestant movement
Protest-ant HE was a Protester
I don't call any religion " The Whore" of anything…there was a Time when I thought I was in the one and only true faith, and ended up having my life shattered when it was proved that I was wrong.
Follow Jesus Salvation is not through man…..you do not have to align yourself with an org. Just find a simple comfortable place to worship and let the Holy Spirit make changes in you.
Scripture says. "He that is assured that he is standing beware that you do not fall" or Before you take the sliver out of your brothers eye, you should remove the rafter out of your own.
do your best, lean on god and keep judgment out of your life.

All Christian faiths do.
The Bible they use comes from the Catholic Church.
The doctrine of the Trinity as well.
Without the Catholic Church those who "protest" against her today, would not even be around to do that.

Christianity in and of it self traces back to the Catholic faith given to us by Christ but my real answer is anyone who is not Catholic can not trace their religion back to Christ but to simply a man like Martin Luther or Smith, or Calvin. So they do not trace their roots to us in the Catholic Church because they bought into the heresy of these simple men, hook, line and sinker. They may get their bible from us but their whole way of worship is missing the sacredness of the Catholic Rites and Rituals.
Just Opinion, No Links Necessary.

By definition, a Protestant church is one that was formed by breaking away from Catholicism. Most of these churches began during the Reformation period, and would include Lutherans, Anglicans, Presbyterians…
Denominations that came later didn't come out of Catholicism, and so are not Protestant.
There are also a few churches that did come out of Roman Catholicism, but do not consider themselves Protestant. These would include the various independent Catholic churches.

This is actually a fascinating subject. All denominations actually at some point had something they felt strongly about and wind up splitting off. I leave a reference to a classic on the subject. It's called "Enthusiasm". Ana-baptists are one of the first subjects. They believed strongly that infants should not be baptized. That "Enthusiasm" and others are explained to be somehow in error but with a grain of truth. The baptists, for instance, were right on the fact you need to consciously commit to your faith, yet were didn't understand that baptisim bestows grace regardless of the strength of will of the reciever.

Most "Christians" will have no idea what you are talking about, and those few that do will not come out here to perform the vital public service of spreading Divine Knowledge.
The only church I know of that would not trace back to The Roman Catholic Church is the ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH. There must be an Egyptian church that is not answerable to Rome for anything, because that is where CONSTANTINE, the First POPE got his Bible. (i.e. The Alexandrian heretics.)
The Second World War was about Spain, Italy and Germany wiping out the other churches that were rivals to The Roman Catholic Church- namely, the Russian Othodox Church, The Anglican (Episcopalian) Church, and the aforementioned Ethiopian Church.
Mussolini and Hitler got concoordats from The Pope authorizing their murder spree. This is a matter of historical record, which is publicly acknowledged
I was born into Anglicanism, but have been Born Again, and am not part of their system any more.
REVELATION 18:4.
4. And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying,
"Come out of her, My People,
that ye be not partakers of her sins,
and that ye receive not of her plagues."
THOSE WHO WERE never tainted have no occasion for chauvinism against those who were somehow trapped in The Great Whore.
According to John, GOD RECOGNIZES those True Believers as HIS PEOPLE- though they still have to come out.
If anyone cannot hear The Voice of God telling them to COME OUT OF BABYLON, they are obviously NOT His People!
REVELATION 13:18.
18. Here is Wisdom.
Let him that hath understanding
count the Number of the Beast:
for it is the Number of a Man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
THERE ARE SEVERAL interpretations which are touted to divert people's attention from THE MAIN VILLAIN, which is The Roman Catholic Church. They tend to be complicated. The people whom John wrote to were ordinary, simple folk, and never went to MIT, nor worked for NASA. The simplest explanation would be the best:
Greek, Hebrew, and Latin used some of their alphabets as letters.
The Roman numerals were:
D = 500
C = 100
L = 50
X = 10
V = 5
I = 1
1,000 used to be "C" backward, followed by "I" sandwiched by "C."
This was, in time, replaced by the familiar "M."
If the letters used as numerals in John's time were added up, they would total as 666. This is very simple, but it took year before we heard about it.

There have been at all times since the formation of the Roman Catholic church brethren who have resisted its demands for unquestioning obedience to unbiblical practices / doctrine. (That's not to say ALL its practices and doctrines are unbiblical. Clearly, many of them are scriptural.) They have been called by many names: Cathars, Novatians, Paulicians, Bogomils, Albigenses, Waldenses, Lollards, Anabaptists, Mennonites, Stundists and very many more, including many Baptists and Independents and assemblies of Brethren.
The problem is that the Catholic church persecuted them – horribly – sometimes to torture and death, or to engineering Muslim hoards to attack them. Their literature and heritage was destroyed almost completely so virtually the only accounts we have of them are from their persecutor. Many of those groups preceded the Protestant Reformation.
It isn't necessary to trace the line of any group back, to see if it is 'pure'. God will not judge us on the basis of what denomination we belong to! Most Protestant groups today certainly did emerge from the Catholic church, and the Anglican and Episcopal communities are, for example, remarkably close to Catholicism even though they are Protestant. But there are very many groups that retain such distinctive Protestant beliefs and practices that they are in no way linked to the unbiblical aspects of Catholicism.

No, all protestants trace to the RCC
The above is the "family" tree of Christianity. As one can see the ONLY form of Christianity that did not derive specifically from the RCC is the Orthodox, but prior the schism even the modern day Catholics and Orthodox are siblings.
Peace in Christ.
P.S. Some will notice the Baptists way done there on the bottom, hmmmm.

The protestant church 'protested' and then split from the Catholic church, like we all know. Some protestants despise the fact that their origins lie with the Catholic church. So they will do everything they can to deny facts, as is observed in the answers provided here.
The fact is that there exists close to thousands of denominations in the protestant church and most of them have conveniently chosen Catholicism as a sort of punching bag to enhance and strengthen their weak beliefs.
Its another story that some of these denominations are very recent, having split from other protestant groups. These groups too will have to trace back to the Catholic church as their origin.
