Just mind your manners, same as you would anywhere else. No, you may not receive communion as a non-Catholic, but if one of the couple is not Catholic, there might not be communion anyway.

Ok, a cousin who was not Catholic took communion and someone sent him a first communion card. It is a combination of a wedding and the complete Mass, and very formal. Long and boring after awhile. Could have changed since I was last at one, but that is how it felt. You can receive communion, but the priest might convert you on the spot .

it will be similar to a lot of other church services. Just stand and sit when everyone else does. There may be some prayers that you don’t know the words to, but that’s okay.

non Catholics really shouldn’t take communion because they don’t typically share our belief that it is the actual body and blood of Christ. What you can do instead is either just stay seated or you can go up for a blessing, just fold your arms into a cross and the priest will say a prayer over you.

I was matron of honor at my best friends wedding, she had the full Mass…. Though beautiful it was LONG…. Mass combined with the wedding made it so….. I am not Catholic so I just stood still with respect at the times I needed to, I knelt in respect and prayed silently when they said their prayers, and as for receiving communion, I do not think you as a non-Catholic would be able to, you do not go to confession as they do…. All you need to do is, as I said, be respectful, knell or stand in silence as the case may be…. go in peace….. God bless

hello,
it’s a great time as far as weddings go.
non-catholics simply abstain from the eucharist.other than that,there are some readings from the texts[bible].
i gave a reading at my cousin’s wedding.it was from jeremiah.i’m non-catholic.
the priest says some stuff,as most wedding do.
pretty nice weddings.

Non-Catholics should not receive communion. It is ok to just sit back and adopt an attitude of contemplation. Otherwise, just follow the others at the mass. Just remember to sit (or knell) during Communion, but stay in your pew.
