		<description>It was called the counter-Reformation by the Roman Catholics of the time.  It was kicked off by the Council of Trent in 1546 in organized response to the reformations of Wittenberg, Zurich, and Geneva.  The reformers (Luther, Zwingli, Calvin, the Anglicans, et al) galvanized and popularized religious observance among non-clergy people, and the Roman Church did a lot of the same things following the Council of Trent.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
