I voted for McCain because he was the best choice. He had experience Obama does not. Our country is worse because of him I think. Oh yes and I am register democrat

Catholics are also supposed to be anti-war. And anti-torture. So how could I vote for McCain? What am I, a Catholic, supposed to do? Stay at home every election, or vote for the lesser of two evils? In my mind, abortion is less evil than the other two injustices, so i chose it.

see the thing about this is that it's ONLY pro choice..
it's not a mandate.. dictating people that they must abort.

also there must be a separation between church and state. Therefore everyone can chose what religion they want to be without problems..

Democrats gives us choice
Republicans (specially the Religious right) mandates people and tries to control too much.. telling women that they MUST carry out a pregnancy it's just an example.

besides what does Obama really have to do with this..
This debate has been going on for years and other democrats have been pro choice too,

He's not "radically" pro choice. That's the rights talking point. He's pro choice, as is most of the country.

BTW, 27% of women having abortions are Catholic even though they only represent 22% of the population.

As an Atheist I have to wonder,how could any decent or moral person support Obama?

People say no one is "Pro-Abortion"?Obama puts the lie to that statement,if anyone has ever been Pro-Abortion,it's Obama.I seriously think this guy would make Abortions mandatory in certain cases if he could.His viewpoint on the issue is so heartless as to be nearly inhuman.

Speaking about his own daughters:"But if they make a mistake,I don't want them punished with a Baby" Barack Obama

I guess at least he acknowledges it's a "Baby" before he advocates killing it.That is more than most Pro-Abortion people will do,but in a way makes it an even more chilling statement.And we can see what he thinks of the "Baby",he thinks it's a "punishment".Is the guy even human?Wonder if he ever informed his daughters that they were a "punishment"?

Other than that he just has the normal Democrat Baggage(Anti-Capitalist,Anti-Free Speech,Anti-Defense,Anti-2nd Amendment,Socialist)

I am Christian and I voted for Obama, because he is the best one of the choices for the job from an overall perspective.

Why do Catholics rant about Democrats being killing machines, when their Republican president, GW Bush, has put 4278 american soldiers to their death in Iraq in an unjustified war.

One kills them before they are born, the other after….neither one is innocent.

President Obama is not for abortion. He does not agree to kill a baby. What is the reason for abortion? Not to kill an innocent baby that has life in them. The young girls that do on their own free will to kill an innocent baby with life in them; does that on their own will. It has nothing to do with the President. God made laws for man to follow and man everyday breaks every law that God made. Did God make man to break His laws? No, man choose to do that on their own free will. If you say P. Obama makes girls kill their innocent baby, then you say P. Obama is higher than God?

Well, first of all, there is no such thing as pro-abortion…nobody is running around pushing pregnant women down the stairs screaming, "LETS KILL THEM ALL"; so yeah, first, please fix that to pro-CHOICE.

I don't see how someone who is supposed to love everyone voting for a man who wants to help the world is so bad. And not all Catholics are pro-life, only those who wish to force their decisions on others.
Also, religion and politics should not mix, especially when choosing your next president; if you side with what your religion says, even if it's a small sliver of what the person believes and go against your better judgment to use logic, well then you're screwed.

Obama? Radical? People aren't single-issue voters. Just because they disagree with Obama on abortion doesn't mean they don't agree with his fiscal and foreign policies.

I would say not just Catholic, but any Christain. BUT, people vote from all kinds of perspectives, and vote with different things in a higher priority. If they think it is more important to vote on their ideas of say education, or defense, or any other political issues over the abortion issue, that is their choice.
No candidate (at least that I have ever seen) has EXACTLY your point of view. You just have to look at what is your point of view and what is most important for you.
I personally rank abortion, family, etc at the top. Not that the other things aren't important, but that's the way I think. A lot of people think different and that's fine. Joys of freedom!
I'm not catholic.
