I am getting very fed up as a long time Electronics Technician that can never find a good high paying job, so now I want to know what other areas can I cross train too. There is no respect for electronic repair techs anymore. Sucks! Thanks.
You could go back to school and a bachlor of science degree. Any formal degree will give you more respect and open doors. You could get your BS is Engineering. Remember Electrical Engineers start at 50,000 and can go a lot higher in design work.

I have a canon rebel xs dslr. I bought a cross star filter and get minimal results (unlike the pictures they provide). What is the best setting I can put my camera on to get the best usage out of this lens?
Apparently slowing the shutter down gives it time to gather the special effect you’re looking for.

How long does it take to break in running shoes for cross country?
after a few runs, depending on the shoe.
a word to the wise: never wear shoes for the first time at a meet, always use them in practice a few times before a meet to prevent (hopefully) blisters and pain.

This year, I was a freshman in high school and I did cross country. I'm an okay runner, but not particularly good. I'd guess my mile time was maybe 7:20-7:30. My race pace was low 8's, in the 5k races. I went into the sport with absolutely no summer training or sports or running experience, and I actually improved over the season.
Realistically, if I train hard over the summer, how much do you think I could get my mile time and race pace down? Any tips?
yes, you can improve so much. you need to do many types of workouts, but do not over work yourself. run two or three days a week, and then when it comes a month before season starts, increase that to four to five days a week. vary your workouts too! don't do too much of the same thing. if you train well over the summer, you should be able to bring your 5K time down from 25 minutes or so down to 24 perhaps, but by the end of next year's season your times should improve a lot.
training tips:
1. interval workout: alternate fast and slow repeats of distances (ex. 3×1mile with 7 minute jog in between)
2. fartlicks: alternate fast and slow in a run (ex. run for 35 minutes with 2 minute jog followed by 1 minute fast repeated for entire run)
3. ldr (long distance runs): your basic 5-10 mile run
4. sdr (short distance runs): a quicker paced 3-5 mile run usually followed by a sprint workout
5. sprint workouts: do many repeats at short distances at fast speeds (ex. 14×200m @ 38 sec/each)
6. core workouts: ab exercises (ex. crunches, sit ups, v-ups. russian twists)

I'am completly new to running and am trying out for my schools cross country team in the fall. I'am a sophmore and want to train over the summer, which leaves me about 2and a half months. There is a 2 1/2 mile trail around my neighborhood. Any tips from runners would be appreciated!
First thing you should do is go out and run at a steady pace for as long as possible Find out what that distance is and that will be your base distance. From there try to build at least 1 mile to your total distance every other week. Your goal should be to work up to 7 miles a day. Once you can run 7 miles a day comfortably your next goal should be your mile time. Ideally for a casual run you should shoot for around 8 minutes a mile. Run 6 days a week, skipping Saturday. Sunday should be your longest run of the week. Try to balance long distance runs with short, quicker runs. By this I mean, one day you might run 8 miles at a casual pace (by casual I mean you aren't falling over in exhaustion when you're done), and the following day you run 3 miles at a very brisk pace.
If you only do long distance runs you won't build up your speed. If you only do fast, race style, runs you won't build up your endurance. Ideally you need to find a mix where you are improving your endurance as well as your speed. Make sure at least once a week you do a very long run, 8+ miles. Also, make sure at least once a week you do some sort of sprint exercise (running up a hill, around a track at a race pace, ect). The rest of the week can be a mix of 5-6 mile runs and small sprints.
Do this up until you join the team and you'll be well prepared. Don't overdo it though, an injury at any point will set you back by about a month. Make sure you always stretch before and after the run and include a cooldown (steady walk) after each workout.

I mean within the same day as soon as a cross examination is over.
1) redirect
2) re-cross
3) repeat until done.
4) Witness dismissed but subject to recall still under oath until both prosecution and defense rest.

I have in mind the cross breeding type when the dairy or beef cattle cows are breeded with the bulls of other superior breed.
For example you take an ordinary cow and breed it with a limousine bull in order to get cross breed cattle that is of better quality.
No, it's not cloning. In my language it would be "smother cross breeding" meaning that the unwanted genes do not play any role already in 4th generation.
they are hybrids

Right now I use all Luxilon, since my arm is hurting a little my coach said to use a softer cross string. What would be a soft string with good playbility.
The most popular, and probably best choice if you can afford it is a natural gut string such as Babolat Vs Natural Gut. The most common cross for a club player using big banger would be a synthetic gut such as Prince Synthetic Gut or Gosen Synthetic Gut. You may also try a multifilament string which is softer than synthetic gut.

I wanna get really good for cross country season and on some of my rest days my coach said i should cross train. what are the best cross training exercises for running?
Any aerobic/anaerobic sports would be great however go with something you enjoy or would really make you a better runner. Sports that would help would include XC skiing or Nordic track machines; mountain biking, swimming, skating. Also try rock climbing, resistance training or ice skating. Good luck!

All girls seem to cross their legs when they sit as soon as seated. Why is that? What makes all girls to grow up and sit with their legs crossed as soon as they sit?Just wondering.I think it looks so nice when a girl sits like this.
sit in a waiting room and look at a guy slouched and legs wide open then look at a lady beside him and try to picture her sitting like that.
not very lady like is it ?
i personally say it's just a habit of seeing it like opening your mouth when putting on mascara plus it's comfy
