Know any bible verses about service to others?

I am 14 and in 8th grade. I am a Christian/ Catolic. For my confirmation at the end of this year i have to do a service project for my class. I have to look up 5 bible verses that have something to do with service to others. I haven't had much luck yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Here are several:

Gal 5:13 — For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Gal 5:14 — For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Gal 5:22 — But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, joy, peace, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, faith,

Gal 6:2 — Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Mk 10:43 — But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: 44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. 45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Joh 13:14 — If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Act 20:35 — I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Rom 15:1 — We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

1 Cor 9:19 — For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

1 Cor 13:4 — Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

2 Cor 4:5 — For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

2 Cor 12:15 — And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

1 Thes 1:3 — Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

James 2:15 — If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

1 Jn 3:16 — Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7; vs 11- displaying loving behavior.

"Love is very Patient, Love is Kind; Love is not jealous; and love does not brag and is not arrogant; Love does not act rude; Love does not seek its own; Love is not easily provoked to anger; Love does not take into account a wrong suffered; Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in truth; Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." – vs 11 "When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things".

My two favorite verses are: Colossians 3:17 and 3:23. They are all about doing everything as if you were doing it for God. That really changes your attitude when you look at it that way. Hope that helps.

Also – John 13 – Jesus washing the disciples feet.
