Is the bible based on any form of acceptance of minority groups?

It seems that some Christians oftentimes interpret the bible to merely serve their own sectarian agendas. This is obvious in the case of our Gay and Lesbian community. Bigotry is practiced by some Christians far more than “Love thy neighbor”. Why does the bible seek to single out minority groups in such a harmful and malicious manner?

That is a manipulative premise. That says that “unless people condone the BEHAVIOR that I want to do – they hate me”. It’s not hating child molesters if they are told that that BEHAVIOR is not legal. It isn’t hating people to say that our society says it’s not ok to have sex with animals – it’s condemning the BEHAVIOR. But oh no, these groups want to manipulate society’s approval by saying if you don’t accept us doing this then we’re gonna say, “You hate us”. My kids gave up that transparent argument when they were about 8 years old and said, “You hate me” when they weren’t permitted to stay up past bed time. Or how about this ? Gay/Lesbian community – unless you let the majority of society have laws they way they see fit – then YOU hate them !” How bigoted !

You do realize, don’t you, that the christian cult guide book is nothing more than fairy tales and boogeyman stories written by men in order to keep the uneducated masses amused, in line, and obeying commands to further the authors’ own socio-economic agenda?

In other words, in biblical times to deviate from the norm was to be stoned to death.

It`s not the Bible, it`s the people interpreting it to fit their own agenda.

Jesus teachings were the most’ inclusive’ of any religion up to that point and still are. Jesus welcomes all regardless of nationality, skin color. Don’t believe the hype. Find out for yourself. Read the Bible which is a revelation of the love God has for mankind.

You assume wrongly that Love accepts everyone and everything. But it does not. It cannot revel in perversion. You cannot love a person in the wrong and still call it love. Love is correction. It does not tolerate falsehood and distortion of the truth.

The world will convince you otherwise because it tries to put out the light of love. Gays and lesbos cannot see themselves in the light of love and reality because their perverse nature is exposed. So they attempt to turn the tide and make it seem like the Christians are the guilty ones. Like using words such as “phobic” as though something was wrong with the Christian for speaking the truth.

    1) Is the bible based on any form of acceptance of minority groups?

No. The bible is based on the word of God. However, it *includes* an acceptance of what was, at the time that it was written, most definitely a minority group.

    2) It seems that some Christians oftentimes interpret the bible to merely serve their own sectarian agendas.

Well, “sectarian” refers to their religion – which is Christian – so, yes, the bible should *always* be interpreted to serve the Christianity of the Christian. Not to serve what the Christian wants – but to serve the sectarian (that is, Christian) agenda.

    3) This is obvious in the case of our Gay and Lesbian community.

I guess you would have to live in your gay and lesbian community to see an example of this.

    4) Bigotry is practiced by some Christians far more than “Love thy neighbor”.

Of course. So, also, by others.

    5) Why does the bible seek to single out minority groups in such a harmful and malicious manner?

    It does not.
