Can anyone attempt to convert me to Christianity without quoting the bible?
Basing all your arguments on one book is rather silly.
Any instances where Christianity helped mankind, any proof things said in the Bible happened, why it is better than other religions, etc.
Many Christians base all arguments on one book because according to that book everything in the book is true. It seems ridiculous to a non-Christian and when you think about it, it is. But Christianity is a faith-based religion – rather, it’s not even a religion. Many Christians consider it a "relationship" with God. One man who converted himself to Christianity, Lee Strobel, wrote "The Case for Christ." He set out to disprove the Bible but in the end, proved his own theory wrong and help put facts behind what the Bible claims. I highly recommend you read a summary or actually read it if you want facts rather than Bible quotes. In a paraphrase of what my friend said… Christianity is better than other religions because it takes the work out of being religious. Rather than trying to meet expectations and fulfill requirements to get to "God," Jesus acts as a middle man and carries us to God if we simply ask for him to do so. So really, Christianity is the best religion because it is the easiest. You don’t have to try to be a good person. You just have to ask for Jesus’ help in getting to God and/or heaven.

Yeah. They basically do that for a living in the midst of spreading God’s word. Do they actually spread help and relief for the sake of spreading help and relief, or do they do it for the image?
I should ask my pastor that question. Hmm.
Anywho, the Bible is a book. The people who spread the Bible do so by mouth and spread its content. Anyone who is a believer in Christ is a believer based on the details within the Bible.
I’ve still yet to get a good example as to what sort of experience lead believers to their faith. I asked that earlier.

Thinking that Christians base all of their arguments on one book is rather silly. Due to your geographical location, your view of Christianity is limited to an extremely small and unrepresentative sample. The vast majority of Christians (some 85%) do not claim to base their beliefs on the Bible in the first place.

Um just look at the evil people in this world and see how they hate Jesus. Because they hate Jesus they hate christians and want to drag people to hell with them
Look how Dr’s are all money lovers cause they want money and hate Jesus. You can say the same for Politicians they love money too. George Bush was a fraud and does not love Jesus, he is yet to repent.
Look at how these atheists love animals more then people and waist money on commercials saying save the animals by sending them the money. There is an animal shelter in my town where animals are put to death all the time cause no one wants them. These fanatics care more about an animal suffering then a poor person in the streets.
Look how christianity ended the English slave trade and hopw Christians made peace with the Native Americans. Then the fanatic Puritans hated the Indians.

That’s because your objection to scripture is just silly. Did you take your math book to math class? Read your English book in English class?
Arbitrarily refusing to open the authoritative book on a subject, yet claiming to want to understand the subject it just silly.

Christianity helps mankind (for the most part,) and does so in lots of ways. Look at how many people are "inspired" by religion to go and help people in foreign countries etc. Also, for me personally, and probably for many others, I often find that if I was about to do something bad then thinking of God stops me.
I think it’s good because it strengthens your own morality – working on the basis of love your neighbor and the ten commandments, the religion adds like an extra incentive to follow your conscience. It instpires people to help others, and it makes you less afraid of dying and the like.
Wheather it’s true or not, it seems as though nowadays it’s more a force for good that evil.
As for the bible, I think they did prove that there was a bright star over bethlehem at the time, and all those folk who claim to have had near death experiences and give up all their wealth (which you wouldn’t expect a lier to do.)

Okay…
Jesus lives forever. How do I know? If you go to the tomb of Buddha, what do you find? If you go to Joseph Smith’s grave, what do you find? I can go on and on naming every "Allah" or "Muhammad" in the book. You would find the body. But, what if you went to Jesus’ tomb… You would find that the God we know is the only one who has risen above to Heaven.
Another thing…
For those Greek God believing folks… Jesus walked on water. You could say he walked all OVER your Gods!

I’m a christian and I agree that basing all arguments on one book is silly. Honestly, I find anyone who takes the Bible as the errant word of God to be silly as well. The Bible was written by many men, very few of whom we actually know. There are many errors, contradictions, and fallacies in the Bible. The Biblical writers exaggerated greatly. So why would it be a good book? The core teachings in it are core morals that are nearly universal. Take the ten commandments for example. If you ignore the ones about worshiping God, you will basically find the exact same commandments in any of the other major religions. Even more, they are pretty much the morals of any civilization.
The Bible was never suppose to be taken literally. The problem with the Bible is that people simply have not studied its history to know enough about it. They blindly follow the book even though that was not its purpose.
As for helping mankind, that is a tricky question. We can look at Christians who have helped mankind. Christian organizations have raised millions of dollars in order to help the poor and other people in need. For some people, Christianity gave them a direction to go with their lives. Then again, many people have been killed in the name of it. Christianity itself has done nothing to help mankind except for influencing people to do what is right. So it really are the Christian people who have helped mankind. And they have done so greatly.
Christianity is not better than any religion. It’s core teachings, are the same as nearly any other of the major religions. The one big difference that it has is the idea that Jesus was the savior of all humankind. However, different people need different ways to worship God. Some feel Christianity is best, others feel Islam is the best, and so on. It is simply another way to worship a god that works for some people.
The only reason to convert to Christianity, in my opinion, is if you want to worship God like a Christian. Christian is a very broad term as well. I very loosely define myself as a Christian, and a large majority of Christians would even contest that label for myself. In the end though, if you want to worship God, then it doesn’t matter if you are Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Christian, or whatever. You could worship God in hundreds of ways, and call him what ever name feels sweet on your lips. In the end, its simply a personal choice that no one could convert you too. The whole idea that Christians can convert people to their religion is simply futile.

Christianity focuses on Jesus Jesus is the centre of it. Through the way Jesus lived and taught Christians must do their best to set a good example.
Why is it better. Christianity teaches morals and alot of it. It does not approve of wife beating, it allows repentance and does not command anyone to kill anyone who wishes to leave it. It teaches self respect and for others. There’s not set time for prayer althoug it must be daily and between you and God. There’s no set dress code either. Salvation is offered for those who believe.

I wouldn’t attempt to convert you (or anyone) to christianity under any circumstance whatsoever. Neither to Judaism or Islam. In my opinion, they are all roots of the same tree, so to say. Its sequence of events, participants, codes and the overall story form all part of a combined corrupted version of a number pagan religions that predated christianity by thousands of years. Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian, and so on and on and on. Are you really interested in converting to a lie? I hope you’re not. Cheers.

No one can convert you.
You must convert yourself.
If you’re looking to be religious, and just trying to find someone to give you a good reason to believe that perhaps there is a God, maybe Christianity isn’t right for you.
Try researching Buddhism. I, myself live this lifestyle. :]
