How do i change the icon for an external hard drive? More specifically a Seagate product?

I right clicked over the icon and clicked on properties but I can’t figure out where you change the icon. It used to be the little hard drive icon and now it is a folder icon and i just wanted that to change back, im not sure why it changed all of a sudden in the first place.

Hi,

Switch off your computer and remove the USB cable from the machine. Then restart the machine, ones the desktop comes on your screen just plug the USB drive back. It should work fine.

Good Luck,
JA

Is divorce applicable for a jehovah witness and a catholic who was married in jehovah ceremony?

I am a roman catholic and married a jehovah witness on jehovah ceremony. My husband and I have been separated for almost ten years now. I wanted to try my luck the second time. How can I free myself from my previous marriage. I wanted to get married in civil rights. Is there a conflict?

In the past, Jehovah’s Witnesses were given permission to marry a non believer in the Kingdom Hall if the non believer was studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses with a view to becoming a baptized member. Such is not the case today. Only baptized Jehovah’s Witnesses can marry baptized Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Kingdom Hall and only with the approval of the body of elders. Both couples have to be in good standing with their respective congregations as well. Therefore, if you were a Catholic at the time you married the Witness in the Kingdom Hall and never became a Witness, you can move forward in your divorce without any ramifications religiously speaking. Even the Catholic Church does not consider this a scripturally binding marriage due to the fact that you, a Catholic, did not marry in the Catholic Church, therefore your marriage is not recognized officially by the Church nor does it have the blessing of the Catholic Church. So, go ahead and get your divorce if that’s what you want.

Where can I find information on grants for Christian businesses?

I am wanting to open a Christian book store. In order to do this I will need a grant to help with the inventory. Does anyone have any information on obtaining a grant for this. It will be a purely Christian store and will be ran by only women.

You’ll have to talk to the churches in your neighborhood, or the state or regional offices of whatever church you belong to.

The word "grant" is typically used to refer to money from the government, but the US government does not give any money to any religious organization.

How do i get the volume icon back into the notification bar?

Ok so i let my niece borrow my laptop last night and this morning i turn it on and i can’t hear anything. Not only that but the icon that’s usually on the bottom right hand side (notification bar) is gone. I tried to get it back but when i go to the tab where you can select whether or not you want the volume to be on the notification bar i can’t click on it. The" volume" is dark gray while all the others are in blue i cant click it on it what do i do?

It appears that problem is with your audio.

Running media player may help. It will tell you if there is any problem with audio system.
Run other media softwares to check if they report any error.
Running dxdaig (type in run) will be helpful. Go to sound tab, read it, click ‘test directsound’ and follow instructions.
Check if your audio driver is working properly.

What is the smallest boat type that could safely cross an ocean?

I’m not talking about a 16′ Boston Whaler that could conceivably make it across the Atlantic but a boat that could cross safely and keep it’s passengers comfortable.

What you need is a "very heavy displacement" sailboat with a full keel. Now… having said that, let me add that this is true regardless of the size vessel. For an ocean going, ocean passage sailboat – heavy displacement can be compared to the difference in the ride and comfort between driving a Volkswagon – compared to riding in Lincoln.

Friends of mine (boating friends) think I don’t get sea sick…
but… I do – or at least, I would too – if I were on their boat… but though their boat is the same length as mine… mine is built for the sea… my sailboat displaces 38,000 lbs where as their vessel displaces 18,000 lbs… and the difference is, while they are hanging on for dear life… I’m having a cappichinno and watching to see how many times I see their rudder rise clear out of the water…

So… a "heavy displacement" true ocean passage vessel is rule #1

Next… you mention "passengers" but you don’t say how many… Hmmm that leaves that door wide open…

My 60 footer (and you can see pictures of it – inside and out) will (and has) handled the Atlantic all the way to Greece with 3 couples… it was cozy, but quite comfortable and accomodating… another couple on board for that long a cruise would have been one couple too many…

My son has a 30 footer and he and my daughter in law just love it… They just got back from an 11 month cruise that took them from Galveston to Casa Blanca, and then back across to Venezula and up through the Caribbean back to Galveston… and they complain about not enough room or space for that long a voyage… (and that is just 2 people)…

So… maybe that will give you an idea…

Now… I have taken the liberty to discuss only sailboats… I did not mention power boats for three reasons…
1. the cost of fuel
2. the amount of fuel required
3. you asked about the "smallest & safest"

Their are typically two routes across the Atlantic… the Northern route, or the Southern route…
On the Southern route, you will have 1,800 nm between fuel stops – as you can get fuel in Bermuda and in the Canary Islands.
On the Northern route, the shortest navigable distance between New York City and Southampton and that is 3,169 nautical miles between fuel stops.

Whether sail or power, if you can make 100 nm a day – it will be a good day… and of course, that is forward motion for 24 hours a day… (no rest for the weary… )
So, you need to consider this when you consider the size of your vessel… you will need a minimum of 32 days of food, water, etc. plus some provisions for emergency (my son and I always pack cans of Ensure in our emergency float box – which take up a small amount of space and you can survive on just two cans a day even without water.

So, needless to say… if your talking "small" you are not talking power… fuel weighs 7 lbs a gallon… and you will need at least 1200 gallons of fuel plus (depending on how many people – several hundred gallons of water… And since there are 8 gallons in one cubic foot, you need almost 200 cubic feet just to store fuel and water… That’s not small…

I am sorry… I apoligize in advance… but Steve T is one of those people that should just never get out of bed in the mornings… I feel so bad for these people because they miss out on so much in life…

You can see pics (inside and outside) of my sailboat "Enchantment" and my kids 30 footer "Twiga" and possibly find some good additional information for your boat selection… at:

How can the bible be the inspired word of God when Paul letters were written just to certain groups?

And Jesus message was for everyone. So if the bible is the inspired word of God, shouldn’t it have been written for everyone?

It is not the word of god but the word of various male political figures throughout history. And the "word" has been massively edited, whole chapters ripped out, sections voted in/out so it is as far from anything a god bestowed as anything could be. Just remember, the name of the game was conversion. Conversion brought/brings in money and power. That has been the gist of that book from the beginning.
