I have a really strict Christian mom and she believes its wrong having a second piercing.I know the bible and all I I believe in having moderation, so having studs wouldn’t be wrong. Can anyone support my view in a biblical manner thanx!
The Bible advises us to obey our Christian parents. I don’t believe the Bible specifically forbids having piercings or even tattoos for that matter, as long as they don’t come between us and God. I do think it would be a good thing though for you to respect the wishes of your mother. She has you best interests at heart.

The message (e-mail) icon is showing on my Blackberry screen even though there are no messages, how do I get rid of it. I have tried switching the thing off but the icon still appears, there is no ‘delete all’ command. I am now thinking of throwing at the wall and then jumping up and down on it. This is possibly a little radical I admit, does anyone know of a better solution.
Anytime you have a minor issue like this take the battery out to hard reset it. This will likely fix that issue along with others in the future. Here’s an additional Blackberry website link that is really helpful if you’re interested in learning more:

So i start my sophomore year at high school in a few days and i wanna do cross country again, but i don’t want to become the worst on the team. I wasn’t able to train this summer because of feet surgery. Dose anyone have any tips for running? like how to stay hydrated, pacing, training, what shoes, eating, ect.
yes i do have some tips but now is too late to get into shape for cross country, (since it is coming up so soon) all you can do is to do your best. i also have some tips for you
a lot of times they will make you stretch first and then do the warm up, this is wrong because stretching not warmed up muscles is almost useless. if you stretch after the warm up it works 5 times better and you will be loose, and not as sore. before you do your run drink a bottle of water or go to a drinking fountain and drink a lot. this will prevent you from getting cramps. make sure you stretch out very good after your workouts because that wil keep you from getting sore the next day. as for eating, you can eat whatever you want in however big quantities as you want since you will burn at least 500 calories a day maybe even 1000 some days. but there are somethings you cant eat. no carbonated beverages which take out oxygen from your blood. eat more greens which put in more oxygen into it. dont eat fast food or food that is highly unhealthy. and if you do then dont do it too often.
everyone has different feet shapes and sizes, that is why you cant rely on suggestions from people to buy stuff automaticaly. you are going to have to try on any shoe before you buy it or else you will have to pay the shipping (if it is online) to return it and it will cost you time. i suggest you just get some trainers or running shoes. go to many shoe or running shoe stores and try on shoes. take the ones you like the most. and rate them by these things in order
fit-not to tight not too loose
support- mostly the heel on the back (size) (bigger better)
comfortability- feels good to walk in them
look- self explanatory
color- match with most of your shirts/ clothes
if you try on a pair of shoes that you like you can try buying them on ebay or eastbay.com, or any other running shoe website and are likely to get them cheap
good luck with cross country and i hope you do well this year despite your surgery!

We are catholics and married in the catholic church. We would like to now get our daughter christened but somebody has said the godparents can only be catholics? Our choice of Godfather is a Protestant. Does this really matter and can the catholic church refuse to recognise my friend as the Godfather? Your knowledge gratefully received please, I just thought Protestant and Catholic are branches of Christianity hence all would be ok, please help!
At least one godparent has to be Catholic. If the godfather is Protestant, then you should choose a Catholic godmother. We are both denominations of Christians, but the job of a godparent is to see that your child is brought up in the Catholic faith (in the event that you’re not able to). At least one of those godparents needs to know and practice the faith for that to happen.

According the Christian religion, God rested on the seventh day. Presumably, that seventh day was Sunday because Christians celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday. Why, then, does the week on the calendar created by the Christians start on Sunday, making Saturday the seventh day?
What a great observation!!!
However, the calendar has ALWAYS started with Sunday as the first day of the week. Though, they have tried to change the display order of the days of the week on European calendars.
Your assertion that "presumably, that seventh day was Sunday" is incorrect. The seventh day has ALWAYS been what we call Saturday.
Most of Christendom have their day of worship on Sunday because of tradition, not because of Biblical teaching. However, there are some Christians that still observe the Bible Sabbath from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. For example, the Seventh-Day Adventists.
Sunday observance happened as Constantine tried to unite his empire which consisted of Christians and Pagans. The Pagans worshiped the sun on Sunday, and the Christians worshiped the God who created the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them (including the sun) on Sabbath (Saturday).
Constantine enacted laws that required Sunday observance and mandated that people work on the Sabbath. Many Christians compromised their beliefs because of this legislative pressure, and also to distance themselves from the Jews who were being persecuted (the Christians did not want to be mistaken for Jews and be persecuted as such).
When Constantine moved his capital, he gave the church of Rome political power and an army, and the Roman church adopted and kept Sunday observance (and other Pagan traditions).
Then we had the Dark Ages, where Bible truths were suppressed, and it was illegal to even own a Bible. Many people were martyred for translating the Bible into the common language of the people.
Yet there have always been Sabbath keepers throughout history. God has always had His remnant. As we came out of the Dark Ages, suppressed Bible truths came back into the light, such as baptism by immersion, salvation by faith, the state of the dead, the Sabbath, and many others.
Of course, this change from Sabbath to Sunday was prophesied in the Bible, and came true exactly as prophesied.

Serious question.
I’ve met people who claim the Bible contains all the information a person needs. If there are any of those folks reading this question, how do you feel about the importance of a healthy diet and exercise?
I think that’s incorrect. The Bible doesn’t say all that much about our health. If I remember correctly it says something about walking for health but it wasn’t a commanded or a sin not to.

I know, I know. This is going to be a really dumb question and I feel very ignorant for asking.
But what exactly is a Protestant? Is it a member of the Church of England?
And what is a Lutheran?
Please explain! Sorry for the dumb question.
Protestants are all of the groups that went against ("protested") the Catholic church in the Protestant Reformation of the 1500s. Lutherans are one group of Protestants along with Reformed, Baptist, Methodist, etc. The term has evolved to refer to pretty much any branch of non-Catholic Christianity.
A member of the Church of England is called an Anglican. They are not considered to be Protestants.
Lutherans are one type of Protestants that identify themselves with the teachings of Martin Luther. They differ from other Protestant branches in teachings on the Sacraments, predestination, Judgment Day, and others.

Hi. I’m considering converting to Orthodox Judaism and I understand that, in a nutshell, I must keep my chest, elbows, and knees covered as well as no flashy colors. I was wondering if there were any good places to find this modest clothing, like stores, websites, etc. Thanks.
You can find modest clothes anywhere you can find "normal" clothes. Just because you have to cover up doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your personal style.

I was reading Ernest Hemingway’s biography and in explaining his suicide it read that he recieved a Roman Catholic Burial Service becaue they ruled him not "mentally responsible for it. How do they decide?
My little brother killed himself and he was given a Roman Catholic funeral too. My brother had a history of mental illness so the priest didn’t even need to ask any questions. He just ok’d the funeral. But from what I understand today, they leave it to G*d to decide and go ahead with the funeral (as long as the person is Catholic). This way, they don’t risk refusing a funeral to someone who was genuinely mentally ill. As for the odd person who slips through, G*d knows everything, and that is all that is important.
Pax Christi!
