Through out America, Cardinal and Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church are excommunicating the laity of the church who voted for Obama. This excludes them from any participation in any catholic service including the mass and holy communion.
Are you looking for a new church to take your family? Any one out there that will welcome us even if we plan on voting for Obama again in 2012?
I do not believe that what you say is so.
The bishops, et al, are warning against voting for a candidate who is pro choice but they have not, in most cases, taken any punitive steps against anyone. If they dud the church would lose it tax exempt status in the US and that would destroy it.

How would you go about doing it? Would you need a theological degree from a Christian school? How much money would you need? Would you be labeled as a cult at first because of your size?
A. We don't need another Christian denomination! What we need are more disciples… people whose hearts and minds are turned from sin and self that they may serve God and the needs of others to the glory of the author and finisher of our faith… Jesus Christ!
After Jesus' death, those who believed that He was the Son of God sent down to atone for the sins of the world were simply referred to as followers of "the way". As we read through the New Testament, we never see scripture writers refer to themselves as members of a denominational group i.e. "a Catholic", "a Baptist", "a Presbyterian" etc. because denominations didn't exist. What we do see are believers who refer to themselves as "a disciple", "an apostle" or "a follower" OF CHRIST!
Though there weren't established Christian denominations in the early days of Christ, we do get a glimpse that denominational factions were rising up. The apostle Paul, who through inspiration of God wrote down much of the New Testament, addressed the idea of Christian factions, offshoots and denominations in his first letter to the Corinthians:
1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 30-31 ~ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?… But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
As far as I have seen, denominations, at their core, are generally divisive, separatist, oft times Pharisaic groups. While I will grant you that within these groups we do find true disciples of Christ, the mainline denominational rhetoric is: "I follow the Pope (Catholicism)" or ""I follow Martin Luther (Protestantism) etc, etc. and my group got all the doctrinal issues right… yours didn't!"
In Revelation Chapter 2 and 3, the apostle John is given a message to individual church factions. Each message acknowledges the positives with "I know thy works…" and decries the negatives with "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee…" Why? Because the message, in Christ, is not religious division and/or elitism, but righteousness, peace and joy IN THE HOLY SPIRIT"! It is only in and through our Lord Jesus Christ that we have unity of the brethren. It isn't a denominational affiliation that gives believers unction, but the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:20). It isn't a denominational creed that gives believers utterance, but the Holy Spirit! (Luke 12:12), it isn't a pastor, a pope, or bishop that intercedes for us but the Holy Spirit… working in and through believers!! (Romans 8:26)
2 Timothy 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.
The Bible tells us those who follow Jesus Christ are changed from glory to glory
(2 Corinthians 3:18). This means all believers are a work in progress at various stages of spiritual development. As we allow God to reveal Himself to us more and more… change us more and more… we must be ever mindful not to allow the measure of faith and discernment we've been given to deceive us into thinking we have "arrived" spiritually or to cause our brother to stumble:
Romans 14:10,13,19,21-22 ~ But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ… Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way… Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another…. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

So many people read the Bible and say let me tell you what this means?,but so many different people say different things and take on different beliefs from the same text.
I am starting to see that the Bible is man made.History has been filled with men who have changed and lied about much.
Is it possible that everything we are told is in fact made up and created for our control and to increase their numbers?
1) Why do so many people interpret the Bible in different ways?
For the very same reasons that so many people interpret Moby Dick in different ways. Written language of necessity demands reader interpretation, and the fact that the bible is also an anthology of ancient foreign language works – unlike Moby Dick – make it even more ambiguous than it might be if originally written in English.
2) I am starting to see that the Bible is man made.History has been filled with men who have changed and lied about much.
I can understand that you might choose to believe such a thing – but, do you have any **evidence** supporting such a thing?
3) Is it possible that everything we are told is in fact made up and created for our control and to increase their numbers?
Of course that's possible. The same is possible of Caesar's commentary on the Gallic Wars or your favorite U.S. History textbook. Just because such a thing is possible does not mean that there is any reason to believe that it is true.

To explain my question:
If my wife and I have another woman sell us her egg, I fertilize it via laboratory, and then my wife carries the fetus to term, is that allowed by the Protestant Church?
How about any other mainstream ( not " earth-based" ) Christian faith?
Probably depends on denomination.
I doubt any of them would be too pleased with buying an egg from another woman, but if you used a surrogate or the other woman donated her eggs for free I think most denominations would be okay with it.
If you're not sure, check with your vicar/pastor/whatever you call him in your church.

Also, what are the difference between The Church of England and the Catholic Religion? This isn't for anything in particular…I'm just curious…I've been doing a lot of research on the 1500s and I'm just wondering what the difference is?
The primary beliefs are that her pagan system of worship is acceptable by the LORD.
The Roman church is saturated in the Pope's every word.
Mary is the mother of God and worthy of the church's attentions, veneration and prayers.
That Yeshua (Jesus) was in the tomb for 1-1/2 days instead of the prophesied 3 full days and 3 full nights.
That the 1st day of the sun is the Sabbath to distance herself from the Jewish traditions – dismissing the fact that Yeshua is Jewish and followed the tradition of the 7th day Sabbath of His Father.
That all that refuse to subject themselves to the Catholic church will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

The list of false teachings goes on and on, there is not enough time in the day and not enough space to list them all.
Be Blessed:-)

Believe in things that are proven, believe in truth and release the false teachings and beliefs running through our lives like a flash flood of debris and trash. Stand on the foundation of only truth…God's Word, AKA The Bible and begin to believe in and experience miracles in your life today.
This could take a whole stack of verses, but will tell you what I think of right off hand.
release flood of debris, etc?
So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west
And His glory from the rising of the sun,
For He will come like a rushing stream,
Which the wind of the Lord drives.
Isaiah 59:19 (NAS)
(Another version says, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him"). KJV
He sent from on high, He took me;
He drew me out of many waters.
He delivered me from my strong enemy,
And from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my stay.
He brought me forth also into a broad place;
He rescued me, because He delight in me.
Psalm 18:16-19
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the way of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of scoffers,
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
That bring forth it's fruit in its season.
His leaf also shall not wither,
And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Ps. 1:1-3 KJV
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17 NAS
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
II Timothy 3:16-17 NAS
…Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'" John 7:37b-38 NAS
Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you.
Mark 11:24 NAS
He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from all their destructions. Ps. 107:20 KJV
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities;
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit;
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who satisfied your years with good things,
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Psalm 103:2-5 NAS

I am doing a history project and i need to know some benefits and drawbacks of the Protestant Reformationa and for the Catholic counter reformation.
The best thing that happened was that people were allowed to finally read the bible for themselves.
The worst thing that happened was that people were allowed to finally read the bible for themselves.
It's a double-edged sword.

my friend is serbian and orthodox and my other friend is croatian and catholic and they always fight about religion…
There isn't much of a difference between the Western Christianity (Catholic) and Orthodox Christianity. Both churches come directly from the apostles and their successors, so their basic beliefs and practices are very closely related. However, certain minor doctrines appeared in the west, starting in the 5th century, which were never initially accepted by the apostolic Church. But as the centuries went by these dogmas eventually became so popular in the west that in the 9th century the bishops of Rome began to accept them as divine doctrines, which then led to great differences between the west and the east. Then in 1054, an emissary of the pope arbitrarily excommunicated the bishop of Constantinople, which involved all the other eastern bishops. The Pope who was just a Bishop and was equal to all other Bishops of the Apostolic Church considered himself equal to Jesus and above all the other Bishops thus, the Catholic church initiated changes to the Faith and then broke away from the original apostolic Church and its beliefs. For the next 1000 years new and/or previously disputed doctrines became more and more established as divine truths in the Catholic church.
1. One of the most important differences between the Catholics and Orthodox is the doctrine that the popes of Rome have absolute authority over all other bishops throughout Christianity and that they are infallible in matters of doctrine. Both dogmas had never existed until the 9th century, when more and more Roman popes were seeking to assert their spiritual authority as the supreme expression of the Faith. Eastern Orthodoxy cannot accept such beliefs because these ideals were never part of the early Church.
2. The Catholic church also began to believe in another new doctrine, which states that the Virgin Mary was conceived and born without sin. The early Church, including Eastern Orthodoxy, believes that the Virgin Mary was capable of sinning, but she successfully resisted sin her whole life.
3. The Catholic church has changed the apostolic doctrines over the centuries, so they came up with another doctrine in the 1800's called "Doctrinal Development". The Catholic church thus believes that the Holy Spirit through the popes develops, changes, adds, and subtracts various aspects of Scriptural interpretation.
4. The Catholic church about 1000 years ago decided to force all priests to be celibate. But the Orthodox church continues to practice the apostolic tradition of married priests.
5. The Catholic church is considered by the Orthodox to be too legalistic and relies too much on intellectual speculation. The Orthodox church is considered by the Catholics to be too mystical and relies too much on spiritual practices.
6) The belief in Purgatory by the Catholics is not accepted in the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church believes that you get only one chance in life and that any other belief would mean that Jesus died in Vain for our sins.

Im recently engaged and my fiance is catholic. I am methodist but i do not study it. I havnt been to church since i was little. He wants to marry in a catholic church and i am ok with that but i dont have time to convert. He leaves very soon for the military. Am i able to marry in a catholic church without converting?
No need of conversion for you.
1.You need to discuss it with the parish of your choice
2.Advise the priest of the fact you're not Catholic
3.Explain he is in the military and leaving (they might be able to speed up the process
4.Promise to raise the future children within Catholicism

I grew up in a Christian Church. Recently I've been looking at a job at a Baptist church but I don't know the differences in beliefs between the two groups. Any help? If you can explain it simply that would be great. Thanks!
Baptists Churches are usually member of one of the Baptist Societies, like the Southern Baptists. Baptist churches, though, are normally operated independently. that is, the Baptist Society they are a member of does NOT dictate how or what they teach.
Christian Churches may be completely independent, or they might be a member of a "coalition", a loose collection of similar non-denominational churches. Again, each church is independent, and are not told what to teach.
Doctrine wise, they are pretty close to the same.
I left a large Christian Church for a smaller Southern Baptist church several years ago, and have had no problems. They both taught the same things, but the Southern Baptist church has more national and international resources behind it. The Christian church must depend TOTALLY os weekly donations for their upkeep and missionary efforts.
