ATT: Jesus is Lord,
where is that prayer you mentioned in the Holy Bible?

Are you aware that the Orthodox Church wrote the Holy Bible?
In our case we mean this literally! St Mark founded our Coptic Orthodox Church on the Rock of Jesus Christ and St Mark wrote his Gospel which became part of the Holy Bible. The Council of Carthage which stated the books generally accepted as forming the Canon of the New Testament was held in north Africa where Coptic Orthodox clergymen were present.

Many Baptists (including John Smyth who founded this denomination) believe that salvation can be lost. Please consider this article on the matter:

"A Little on Falling as The Holy Bible so Teaches"
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. – The Lord Jesus Christ in Saint Matthew 24:13

The above verse clearly shows that salvation is not simply once attained and kept forever or else there would be no need to endure. Here are a few New Testament verses which agree, demonstrate or teach likewise:
Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you… ye are fallen from grace.
The Acts 1:25 …Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
St. James 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not… lest ye fall into condemnation.
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own master he standeth or falleth….
Second Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first…
Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Second Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have know it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.
St. Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when the hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
Romans 11:22 …if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
First Corinthians 9:27 …least that by any means… I myself should be a castaway.
Philippians 2:12 …work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition…
First Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he stand take heed lest he fall.
St. Matthew 10:22 … but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
St. Mark 13:13 …but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
First Timothy 3:2-6 A bishop then must be… 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen – Saint Jude 24&25

The very word "Orthodox" means "true worship". Those who would worship the Father must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

May the Lord guide you as you seek the Faith which was once delivered to the saints and continues unchanged in the Orthodox Church.

How to know if Christian girl practices sexual abstinence?

'm a Christian guy and am practicing sexual abstinence, I would like to meet a Christian woman doing the same. But, how can I know she is or isn't?

There is no way to know for sure. 88% of True Love Waits signers "do it anyway". I used to go to conservative churches and I don't think you should worry about sexual abstinence. I learned later in life that church leaders actually crack jokes about real-life 30 and 40 year-old virgins, so I stopped worrying about it. Now I send my Christian friends to the site below which covers the pro-premarital sex stuff in the bible that your church will never tell you about.

Why does the New American Bible and many other Christian Bibles start off with?

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…"

But in the torah, it says that YHVH created the heaven and earth.."

I've always tried to figure out what the plural heavens referred to and now I just found out that the Hebrew bible says a singular heaven.

Why the mistranslation? Anyone know this?

You are mistaken on both. Gen. 1:1 in transliterated Hebrew says

B'reshit bara Elohim et hashamayim v'et ha'aretz.
בראשית ברא אלוהים את השמים ואת הארץ

So it says Elohim (God) not YHVH. As for singular or plural heaven, the Hebrew word for heaven has no singular form. There are a number of nouns in Hebrew that have no singular form. These include heaven, water, life and face. These are always plural, even when only one is being spoken of.

So these are not mistranslations.

Is the Orthodox Church ever going to convert back to the Catholic Church?

After being in schism from the Catholic Church, is the schismatic Orthodox Church ever going to convert back to the Catholic Church? They have been separated from the Body of Christ for almost 1,000 years. Are they ever going to convert back to the faith of Christ again?

The great famine of the 21st. century will end upon the unification of ALL Christian Churches in the One Catholic Church in mid. 2020. Nothing whatsoever will cause the great famine to end until Christians repent and convert and unite in One Holy Catholic Church. The Church will then be restructured to have seven divisions within unity: 5 parts for the formerly Protestant Churches, 1 part for the Latin Rite, and 1 part for the Eastern Churches.

What is the Christian perspective on divorcing an abusive person?

Shortly after marrying the abuse started. Some physical but mainly emotional and psychological. The person I thought was a Christian is actually a wolf in sheeps clothing and this has been extremely painful. Everyone else seems to think he is the nicest person and he is using his "faith" to manipulate and lie to people while making me to be the person that has problems. We are separated but have not filed for divorce yet. Need some advice/encouragement.

This sounds like my life with my exhus…looking back I now realize I simply got sucked in by his manipulation and good looks and ability to say all the right things in the right way to impress me and those around us. All the counselling in the world cannot help you and your N, Narcisstic. Check out Sam Vaknin website. All Narcisstics need someone to put down to make themselves appear better than they in their heart know they are…I wasted nearly ten years on him, hoping, praying, endless and worthless endeavors only to be left by him with $6.68. To further add insult to injury, literally, everyone in our lives sided with him except one couple and my best friend who didn't need it written on the wall…he abused me in every way possible, even maritally raped me, broke my jaw, did severe neck and head injury so many times there is great limitations physically…Only the grace of God kept me from dying…he went on after me to remarry at least twice..Your "husb" is definitely a WOLF…asap extract yourself out of it..plan if you must but GET OUT. He will never change. Do not waste your life on him. Think of yourself and DO NOT get pregnant. If you were my daughter, I would send you to Europe to get you away from him. Love yourself first not him. He loves himself enough for 10 people. Aren't you sick of the lies you always catch him in??? Decide it's enough and kick him to the curb…just know he is like a bad penny and will keep showing up until he is SURE you mean it.

What are some tips for traveling cross country with Bearded Dragon in winter?

We are going on a cross country road trip, stopping in 2 hotels before getting to our destination. We will be traveling the last week of December and I would like to know how best to travel with my adult bearded dragon the easiest way possible, with no stress to him. I don't want to lose him. It's not an option to leave him unless we gave him a new home. How do I keep him warm throughout the car rides? It's about 11 hours first day, 9 hours next day and 6 1/2 hours following day good weather permitting.

There is no possible way you are going to be able to do that with no stress to him.

It would be in his best interest to leave him at home with a friend or board him at a petstore. I'm sure there is some way you could find boarding for him.

Its going to likely be cold as balls and you'll have to keep him warm by keeping the car heater up. There are outlet adapters you can put in the cigaratte lighter of a car that you could theoretically plug a heat lamp into, but I think that might not be very safe.

He's going to be stressed out and not likely to eat; in all honesty he would probably be fine for a week left at your empy house with heat lights on a timer and a big meal before you go and some extra crickets in his cage
